Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aim & Objectives of the Public Authority:

     Choudwar Women's College, Choudwar, Cuttack is a Private-Aided-College imparting education at Higher Secondary (+2) in Arts at Intermediate levels. The main objectives of the Institution are:

a. To provide access of qualitative higher education to the girls students.
b.
Disseminate Knowledge to the students in Arts at Higher Education level.

c.
To promote values in the women's students.

d.
To promote higher education of girls.

2) Mission/ Vision Statement of the College:

The vision of the Institution is to produce women's forces of high talent and morality.

3) Brief History of its Organization:

     Coudwar Women's College, Choudwar started with +2 Arts Classes on 08TH SEP 1995 & this college is the only women's college in the industrial area of Choudwar Municipalityin. This college got permanent Govt. recognisation & permanent affiliation from CHSE Odisha in the year 1996-97. 

4) Duties of the Principal:

i. Administration of the College.
ii.
Management of College Office, Meetings and examinations.

iii.
Supervision of Activities of students, Teachers, other employees and all the Curricular and Co-curricular activities of the college.

iv.
Coordination between College and College Governing Body (G.B), College and the Govt., College and the Public/ Parents.

v.
Teaching the students.

5) Main Activities/ Functions of the Principal:

a. Collection of educational policy documents, circulars of Governments / CHSE, Odisha, courses, teaching aids, books, etc.
b.
Admission of students, distribution of powers / charges among the staff, conducting.

c.
Supervision different curricular and co-curricular activities, conduct of seminars, workshops, exams.

d.
Establishing relationship with the Public, the Govt./ University/ CHSE, Odisha.

6) List of Services being provided by the Public Authority:

a. Providing qualitative higher education to the women's students of the area.
b.
Teaching the students directly.

c.
Making arrangement for stipend / scholarship for poor and meritorious students of the area.

7) Organizational Structure Diagram at various levels:

i. Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha (Secretary, Higher Education).
ii.
Directorate of Higher Education Government of Odisha (Director of Higher Education).

iii.
College: Choudwar Women's College, Choudwar, Cuttack Odisha.

(President, G.B.-cum-Sub-Collector, Cuttack & Principal-cum-Secretary).

8) Expectation of the Public Authority from the public for enhancing its Effectiveness and Efficiency:

To co-operate the process of running the college towards better development of the college

9) Arrangements and methods made for seeking Public Participation / Contribution:

i. Conduct of Parents-cum-public meetings.
ii.
Inviting the public to the college-functions/ important events/observation of important Days.

iii.
Correspondence through letters (informing parents about the performance of the students).

10) Mechanism available for Monitoring the service Delivery and Public Grievance Resolution:

     Public Grievance is settled with the help of College Advisory Board, College Governing Body and College Grievance Cell.
