1. Brief History of the Public Authority: Maa Maheswari Degree College Baunsuni was established in 1997 after the name of the deity of the locality. It is initated in the central point of Boudh district and committed to persue excellence duty with creativity and intigrity. 2. Aim and Objectives of the Public Authority: Basically the aim of the institute in to promote higher education among the poor and weaker section of the societey. 3. Strength of the Public Authority: The student strength of the institute from 1997 was only 64 in Arts. The strength has been increased for 64 to 128 from the session 2011-2012. The institute has only 3 optional subjects viz- History, Poltical Science and Education. 4. List of Services being Provided by the Public Authority with a Brief write of them: The College provides students character building facilities assimilating them in to various programmes like programmes of Red Cross, NSS, Cultural and Sports etc. 5. Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority: In the Boudh district the institution functions as a centre for up grading the merit of SC/ST minority and other backward students through different scheme. The College is managed and controlled by the rules and regulations prescribed by the Sambalpur University and the government of Odisha. However this institution sticks fully to its goal and objectives paying attention to carrier developments of the students.
