1) Brief History of the Public Authority & Context of its formation:

     Dharmasala Mahavidyalaya is the first full aided coeducational college situated against the backdrop of tranquility and beauty, with th« mysterious hills hovering over and green foliage bewitching its surrounding. The college is far away from the din and bustle of Jaraka town and the deafening sounds of the busy vehicles on the N.H.-5 never rich it. Established in the year 1978 it is recognized by the Govt.of Odisha and affiliated to the Utkal University. It is a degree college and also having Science, Arts and commerce in +2 stage. The college is registered under 2f & 12B of UGC in the year 2003.

     The college imparts undergraduate programme in Arts and science programme in +3 Level. It adopts U.G.C. course patterns of Utkal University having Hons. teaching facilities in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, History, Economics, Political Science, Odia, Education, English and Philosophy.

This Institute has now reached a new horizon in respect of following achievements:

     This Institution has well furnished infrastructural facilities including Class Rooms, Common Rooms, Toilets for the Staff, Boys and Girls students. There is well planed Water Supply System, Drainage System and the College is surrounded by green forestation which creates a peaceful and beautiful environment. The College provides a very good, well equipped sophisticated Library and laboratory for the students.
