1. History & Background of Its Establishment:
a. The College Crest:
Our crest gives a symbolic interpretation of the line written at its base. Inscribed on the crest is the name of the College.
The burning lamp, the book and the quill represent wisdom and enlightenment gained through education. The Line "Vidya dadati Binayam" conveys Binaya is the main ornament of human being which is possible only through education. And the College stands for educating the youth to be an important and valuable part of our society. The open Book represents the message that the door of the College is open for all. And the Lamp represents the message that like a light it shows the way of education to every Body .Which lifts a person to the greater height of bliss and perfection.
The College Anchalik Junior College, Rusuda was founded in the year 1992 and was affiliated to Council of Higher secondary Education Odisha Bhubaneswar. The College was primarily under private management and notified as Aided College on 20th January 2009. In the beginning, the College was housed in Rusuda High School and Rusuda Gram Panchayat premises. Since 1996 the College is proud of having an independent building of its own. Now the strength of the College has gone up.
From the beginning the College has got permission, Recognition and affiliation with 128 seats in + 2 Arts stream with Compulsory subjects English, MIL(Odia) and Optional subjects Economics , Political science, History and OPT (ODIA). As per the demand of the Local people and the students of the College From the session 1999-2000 the college got Permission, Recognition and affiliation in OPT Sanskrit Subject with 128 seats. From the session 2003-04 the College has got permanent Recognition and affiliation.
2. Aim & Objective of the College:
The main objective of this institution is to disseminate knowledge to the students in different fields. Simultaneously this institution also aims at the overall development of the students, physical, mental and moral. Games and Sports are an integral part of this institution which inspires the students to be physically fit. There are also many societies and associations related to social service and cultural programmes.
On last days the College was proud of its NSS Unit. A student Volunteer of this College namely Sri Dayanidhi Pradhan got the State NSS award from the Govt. Of Odisha, Deptt. Of Higher Education in the Year 2002-03 and also he got the Indira Gandhi National NSS award from Govt. Of India in the Year 2004-05 during the Programme Officer ship of Sri Jaya Kumar Acharya, Lect. in Odia of this College. It was a matter of great pleasure that not only up to that period till date also Sri Pradhan is the only +2 student to receive the above mentioned award in Odisha.
