Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:

  • To provide preventive and curative treatment to the people to make them disease free.
  • To aware the people and provide necessary support about health and family welfare services for population stabilization.
  • To take necessary intervention to eradicate communicable diseases from the society.

2. Mission/ Vision: To improve the health status of the people.

3. Brief History and Background for its Establishment:

   The Chief Medical Officer, Bhubaneswar, Dist. Khurda in the year of 1954. Before that it was a Sub-division of Khurda District and the existing health institution was a State Head Quarter Hospital and after the formation of the district, it was declared as Head Quarter Hospital and the Department/ Organization is called as CDMO Office.

5. Allocation of Business:

   The office provides health services both preventive and curative to the people.

6. Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:

  • Establishment of health institutions with medical professionals, paramedical staff, necessary equipments and drugs to deliver the services to the people.
  • Conducting awareness camps to aware the people to avail the health services.

7. Details of Services rendered:

   Health check-ups and drugs distribution.

8. Citizens' Interaction:

   Awareness camps are organizing at community level to interact with the people.

10. Working hours both for Office and Public:

  • Office Work: From 10 A.M to 5 .PM
  • For Outdoor Patients:
    8 AM to 12 Noon and 4 PM to 6 PM (April to September)
    8 AM to 12 Noon and 3 PM to 5 PM (October to March)
  • For Indoor patients: Round the clock
