Aims & Objective of the Organization:
The Directorate of Medical Education & Training Odisha is Heads of Deptt. Organisation like other Heads of Deptts. The Director is Administrator to guide & impart the quality of Medical Education Training & Research.
Mission /Vision:
Vision of the organization is to generate and provide the highest quality of Medical personnel for the field service, personnel for furtherance and maintenance of standard of Medical Education & Training Programme & personnel for bring out qualitative research activities and teachers will execute the teaching and training programme at three Medical College levels involves undergraduate, Post-graduate, Medical Students Training Programme & Para-medical along with Nursing personnel and all related Health programme.
Brief History & Background for its Establishment:
Directorate of Medical Education &Training, Odisha has been established as Head of Deptt. During 1975. The background of its establishment is to improve and close monitoring of the following institutions being the supervising Heads of Deptt.

Allocation of Business: Allocation of organization is to keep official records of its employees working in the above mentioned Offices covering all rules of O.S.C. and OGFR, OMES Rules etc. All training manuals of Health Programmes, conducting different Committees like authorization Committee of Human Organ Transplantation, D.S.C. for Higher Technical Medical Education, Standing Medical Referral Board , The State Medical Appelate Board, Nursing Board, Governing Body of Medical Colleges & its attached Hospitals, Member of Swasthya Vikash Samiti of Medical College & Hospitals, Odisha Clinical Establishment C&R) Act, 1990 & Rules 1994 & Amended Rules 2006, DMLT & DMRT Board & Selection Committee for training of Diploma in Pharmacy.
