Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aims and objectives of the Organization:

    The CDMO, Boudh is functioning as Dist. Health Administration to provide proper Health care services like preventive & creative as well as health measures of the people of Boudh District only. All the National and vertical health programmes are being implemented in the District of Boudh with Govt. Rules and Guidelines under the direction of the Dist. Health Administration i.e. CDMO, Boudh.

2. Mission/ Vision:

    Health status is a primary essentiality of human life beginning from pre birth to till death. To have a good health the Govt. as well as other sectors should take appropriate care in all the stages of life to like live a healthy long life of each individual. This is the primary Mission of health programmes whether implemented by Govt. or Non-Govt. agencies or WHO, UNICEF like such organizations.

3. Brief history and background for its establishment:

    After Division of the undivided Boudh, Kandhamal District in to two Districts such as Kandhamal consisting of Kandhamal & Baliguda Sub-Division having 3 blocks having approximate population of 3.5 lakhs established from 2.1.1994. The District health administrator i.e. CDMO Boudh started functioning from 6.10.1996 on joining of New CDMO to this District.

4. Allocation of business:

    From the Gross root level a mini health center known as Sub-Center are functioning for all type of health care services at the door step of the locality at G.P level. To supervise and provide referral services other up graded health sector are functioning like PHC (N) Block PHC, CHC, Area Hospital and DHH step by step according to the need.

5. Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:

    This District office is functioning with four categories of post such as Group 'A' 'B' 'C' 'D' starting from the post of CDMO to class-IV categories with other paramedical personals. Doctors & specialists are rendering as physicians and other paramedical are working as assistants having their diploma/ Requisite qualification required for the services and Class-IV like attendant and sweepers as helpers to the mission.

6. Details of services rendered:

    The Chief Dist. Health Administration has got full power of financial as well as administrative over all programmes and control over all Gazetted and Non-Gazetted working in the District. He has been declared as an employer of all Class-III and Class-IV employers of the District as a Chief administrator of the employees concerned.

7. Citizen's interaction:

    The District health administrator work him self and guide others to work as per bay-law of Indian constitution with rules and guide lines provided by Govt. from time to time.

8. Postal address of the main office, attached/ subordinate office/ field units etc:

    From Chief Dist. Health administration to its field units as mentioned below are functioning with their local address for smooth operation of all health programmes.
