Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aim and Objectives of the Organization:
The Main Activities of the Soil Conservation Officer, Koraput will be:
i. Soil & Water Conservation.ii . Soil Erosion Control Measure.iii. Prevention of shifting cultivation.iv . Training of Soil Conservation personnel.
Soil Conservation Officer, Koraput will be in-charge of the following items work:
i. Tree Plantation including plantation of Cashew, Sisal.ii. Soil Conservation Demonstration Centre.iii. Soil Conservation Measures such as contour Bonding, Nala Bonding , Gully control Structure, Water Harvesting Structure, Stream Bank Erosion Control, Farm Ponds, Silt Retention Dams, Bench Terracing,iv. Maintenance of existing plantations and structures already created by Soil Conservation Officers.
