1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
i) To Check Soil Erosion.ii) Recharge Ground water provide life saving irrigation for sustainable agriculture production as well as creating labour intensive work.
2. Mission/ Vision:
To Conserve soil and water and increase groundwater table to provide sustainable agriculture production as well as creating labour intensive work.
3. Brief History and Background of its Establishment:
The Soil Conservation Sub-division enacted during the year 1970 in Angul District. It comes under Mid Central Table Zone (Code No. 084). The Soil of the district is mostly Red lateritic, Sandy loam, and alluvial in nature.
4. Allocation of Business:
The ASCO of the office is to supervise, monitoring & Implementation of works both office and field.
5. Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:
To Plan & Execute development programme of the schemes relating to the beneficiaries of the area.
6. Details of Services Rendered:
Development of social and economical status of the villagers in watershed areas.
