Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aim and Objectives of the Organization:
The main activities of the Asst. Soil Conservation Officer, Patnagarh will be(i) Soil & Water Conservation (ii) Soil & land Capability Survey(iii) Soil Erosion Control measure(iv) Prevention of shifting cultivation.(v) Training of Soil conservation personnel
The Asst. Soil Conservation Officer will be in-charge of the following item of works:-(i) Tree Plantation including plantation of Cashew, Sisal(ii) Development of pasture.(iii) Soil Conservation Demonstration Centre.(iv) Testing and amelioration of Soil(v) Soil Conservation Measures such as contour bunding, Nala bunding, gully control structure, water harvesting structure, stream bank erosion control, farm ponds, silt retention dams, bench terracing, stone terracing.(vi) Maintenance of existing Sisal, and others farms develiped by the Soil Conservation Organization.
