1. Brief History of the Public Authority and context of its Formation:
The District Agriculture Office, Boudh is established during the year 1983 in its won department building situated inside the exstate garden adjacent to the bank of river Mahanadi and on the left side along the Boudh - Harabhanga road. This office comes under the Director of Agriculture and food production, Odisha, Bhubaneswar and is functioning under the administrative control of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Kandhmal Range, Phulbani. As this district possesses one of the best perennial sources of water in Odisha. The Agriculture Department has been playing a vital role to increase the Agricultural production and improve the financial status of the farmers of this district, by adopting new modern technology.
2. Duties of the Public Authority:
The duties of the officials are mainly based on extension activities which are disseminated to the cultivators through the field functionaries by conducting meeting Exhibition, Training, seminar, workshop, Bi-weekly trainings and Awareness Campaign. The duties of the ministerial staff are to keep records and documents. And preparation of reply in proper and systematic manner.
