1) Brief History of the Public Authority and context of its Formation:
The District Agriculture Office, Dharamgarh, comes under the Director of Agriculture and food production, Odisha, Bhubaneswar and is functioning under the administrative control of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Kalahandi Range, Bhawanipatna.
2) Duties of the Public Authority:
The duties of the officials are mainly based on extension activities which are disseminated to the cultivators through the field functionaries by conducting meeting Exhibition, Training, Seminar, workshop, bi-weekly trainings exposure visit Programmes and Awareness Campaign
The duties of the ministerial staff are to keep records and documents and preparation of reply in proper and systematic manner.
3. Functions: The following staff has been working in this office including field functionaries under the control of District Agriculture Officer, Dharamgarh.

4) Working Hours:
The office functions from 10 AM to 5PM with lunch break of half an hour from 1.30 PM to 2.00 PM on every day except on Govt. holidays, Second Saturday and Sunday. During summer season i.e. 15th April to 15th June the office functions from 7 AM to 1 PM without lunch break.
