Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization: Rendering services to the Public on Agriculture basically on Farm Mechanisation and Jalanidhi. 2. Mission/ Vision: Creating Public awareness on improved Agriculture practices by brosting up farm mechanization. 3. Brief History & Background of its Establishment: This Office started on 6.11.1964 with headquarter at Aska for services to the Public of undivided Ganjam district. Which right now functioning at Rangeilunda (RITE) campus since date June 2002. 4. Duties to be Performed: To provide services on Agriculture basically on Farm mechanization and Jalanidhi in Ganjam district. 5. Main Activities/ Functions: Supply, Sale and demonstration and Exhibition improved Farm implements and machineries. 6. Details of Services Rendered: i) Supply, Sale and demonstration and Exhibition improved Farm implements and machineries.ii) Monitoring subsidy on Bullock drawn and Manual implements to farmers.iii) Verification of Tractor/ Power Tiller and other improved Farm machineries distribution to the farmers at subsidized cost.iv) Verification of Jalanidhi, Such as Shallow Tubewell, Borewell, Dugwell taken up by the farmers at subsidised cost. 7. Arrangements for Citizens Interaction/ Public Participation: Reaction of Public on effectiveness of working of the improved Farm machineries. 8. Grievance Redress Mechanism: Through demonstration, meeting and training to farmers. Hearing of Public grievances is open at the Office level for all working days specifically on each Saturday though direct literaction. 9.
